Despite a relatively short career, having launched his first fragrance in 2013, he is now widely recognized. Although he has created numerous bestsellers and is currently one of the most acclaimed perfumers in the world, few people know about the discipline, determination, and patience that shaped his journey.

To become a perfumer, one usually needs to study chemistry and face extremely strong competition. However, he felt that mathematics and science were not his strengths, which led him to abandon his chemistry studies and turn toward the artistic world.

Yet, he decided to try again in pursuit of his dream. With no connections in the industry, he spontaneously sent an email to Jean Guichard, director of the Givaudan School of Perfumery, requesting an interview.

The director appreciated his enthusiasm but explained that no students would be recruited that year. He advised him to wait while gaining experience by working as a perfumer’s assistant alongside another creator.
