L’Atelier Möbius is an independent perfumery house founded in Shanghai in 2021 by Lorenzo Lou. From the outset, creative integrity and research have taken precedence over any commercial considerations — a stance reflected in every creation. The name Möbius is borrowed from mathematics: a surface finite in matter, yet infinite in possibilities — a fitting metaphor for the art of perfumery. Möbius is one of the few independent houses to develop its own raw materials. Its guiding principle is simple: for each creation, to find or craft the most precise ingredient that the vision demands. The Proust Collection takes its name from the Proust Effect: involuntary memory that emerges without warning, triggered by a scent, a taste, or a sound. Each creation in the collection is born from a moment personally experienced by the perfumer: the emotion it leaves behind is distilled, composed, and then offered to the world as a fragrance.
