An overdose of citrus grounded by earth and rain.
The imprint of grass on bare skin, underwear clutched in one hand, the softness of a stranger’s lips, Rohmer films at the Cinémathèque Française, the hedonistic thrill of drifting aimlessly, the keys of a typewriter recording a litany of explicit details, and those late-night hours spent in some secret place… EN PLEIN AIR is composed of fragments from the world of Catherine M.
While Catherine Millet is best known for her 2002 erotic memoir, The Sexual Life of Catherine M., she also leads another life in the art world. As editor-in-chief of Art Press—the magazine she co-founded in 1972—she holds a prominent place within the French intellectual scene. Throughout her writing, art, sexuality, and hedonism are explored with intellectual detachment, an apparent emotional restraint that conceals an almost youthful desire to belong.
The brand Jouissance draws inspiration from this very tension: a community born at the intersection of art and collective sexuality, where body and mind ultimately find reconciliation.

JOUISSANCE
Jouissance Parfums is a contemporary perfume house inspired by literature, cinema, and female icons of creativity and desire.
Rooted in works such as Story of O or the diaries of Anaïs Nin, the brand explores the boundary between imagination, sensuality, and feminine expression.
Each fragrance translates this vision through bold sensory compositions, where beauty meets disturbance, and where olfactory language becomes a space for intimate and subversive storytelling.
