Drunken Jade is a tribute to Ji Kang, an ancient Chinese Taoist philosopher, a talented musician and a rebel who lived life true to himself. This perfume combines animalic and wine-like scents to capture his legendary charm in a drunken episode: “when he's drunk, he moves like a jade mountain.”

He was also renowned as one of China’s greatest musicians and a rebellious figure who rejected the empire’s invitation to join the ruling class due to his disagreement with their philosophy and legitimacy. He met his end at the hands of the empire yet remained unwavering in his belief and pursuit of Taoism – honest to one's true self, don’t give in to the power, and live a life “naturally.”
