While Catherine Millet is best known for her 2002 erotic memoir, The Sexual Life of Catherine M., she also leads another life in the art world. As editor-in-chief of Art Press—the magazine she co-founded in 1972—she holds a prominent place within the French intellectual scene. Throughout her writing, art, sexuality, and hedonism are explored with intellectual detachment, an apparent emotional restraint that conceals an almost youthful desire to belong.

The brand Jouissance draws inspiration from this very tension: a community born at the intersection of art and collective sexuality, where body and mind ultimately find reconciliation.
